Halloween is one day away! Are you looking for a last minute costume to wear for the occasion? Then look no further than your own closet. You’re sure to find items you can easily mix and match to create an on-point yet cost-effective ensemble in minimal time. I’ve rounded up three of my favourite looks for this Halloween. Getting dressed up has never been easier or more fun!
Happy Hallows’ Eve,
Take a cue from none other than Lauren Conrad and bust out your work basics, from your black skirt and white shirt to your black pumps. Add in a little red bow tie, a hat adorned with flowers and, of course, an umbrella. Pretty and practical! Hey, if it rains at least you’ll be prepared, right? By the way, this would make a great costume for a work party.
Margot in The Royal Tenenbaums
The Royal Tenenbaums is one of my favourite movies, and Margot Tenenbaum has a distinct style that is fairly simple to replicate for Halloween (or any fall/winter day, to be honest). Grab a faux fur coat, throw on a barrette, some smudgy eyeliner and your most serious glare, and you’re good to go!
Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s
A classic if there ever were one, and for very good reason. Grab your LBD, throw on some pearls, long black gloves and a jeweled hair pin (or mini tiara, should you own one) and top off the look with black sunglasses. Simple, chic, effective!
