While Christmas tree toppers can be beautiful, they also have a tendency to err on the more conventional side. Why not eschew the tradition this season in favour of something more unexpected? I opted to forego the traditional topper in favour of a more unorthodox ornament, and this one is as unconventional as they come: its modern shape (square), coupled with the colour (blush pink), simple material (glass) and, of course, the cute phrase (Hello Lovely) make it entirely fresh and fun. It also offers a nice antidote to the otherwise gold-tone ornaments.
Disclosure: this is not the first tree topper alternative I’ve had so far this holiday season. I previously had a gold heart-shaped ornament on a similar perch on my tree, which I also loved, but I just couldn’t resist the allure of this cheeky ornament when I saw it. It adds a certain je ne sais quoi to my Christmas tree.
Who says your decor, holiday or otherwise, needs to remain static? I’m a firm believer that decor and style is an evolution and ever-changing. With that said, I’m sure I’ll be making more tweaks over the coming days, but that’s all part of the fun. ‘Tis the season after all.
Stay tuned for more images of my holiday decorating – along with more gift guides – next week.
Wishing you a lovely weekend!
