Holiday Bookcase Styling

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…. At least, that’s what I kept humming to myself as I continued my holiday decorating over the weekend. There may not be a drop of snow on the ground as of yet, but that’s neither here nor there.

Back to decorating. I decided to streamline the colour palette in my bookcase and integrate a predominantly gold and white theme, with ornaments in bowls and ceramic animals for a fun holiday look (this was very much inspired by a beautiful image I shared in a previous post of mine). The bookcase styling is further enhanced by the addition of the fresh pine wreath, which adds a natural touch and a welcome hit of green to the shelves.

Also, here’s a fun DIY trick for hanging a wreath on a bookcase: use a belt like I did! I just wrapped the loop around the top of the wreath, and secured it at the top of the bookcase with a few nails (conveniently secured through the existing holes – no damage required). Thanks for the genius suggestion, mom! She has the best ideas, that one.

How’s your holiday decorating coming along? All done, or are you a ‘slow and steady’ decorator like me?
