Coveting: Open Kitchen Shelving

The current source of my coveting? Open shelving in the kitchen. It breaks up the “matchy matchy” look that can dominate a lot of kitchens, and add more character and warmth to a space.  There are also lots of options to choose from, depending on the look and feel you’re after – anything from sleek floating shelves, to rough hewn wooden shelving, and custom etageres can add custom appeal to an otherwise cookie cutter kitchen. Even a narrow picture rail or ledge with cookbooks can freshen up the space. Practical and chic – it’s a win win!
